An irate mob on Monday night set ablaze a coach of a special ticket checking train "Chetna" at Barrackpore station.

An irate mob on Monday night set ablaze coach of a special ticket checking train "Chetna" at Barrackpore station of Sealdah division of Eastern Railway, police said.

The mob vandalised the coach after some staff along with RPF jawans allegedly assaulted a ticket-less traveller at the station. The injured traveller was taken to a local clinic.

Three fire tenders arrived on the spot to douse the blaze and additional force was deployed to restore normalcy in the station.
