Moderate earthquake felt in parts of Gujarat

Tremors rock parts of Gujarat

A moderate quake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit parts of Gujarat on Thursday evening.

According to initial reports, the tremor was felt in Bhuj, Rajkot and other surrounding areas.

On January 26, 2001, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.9 had hit the region killing over 30,000 people.
