A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale, shook India (Mizoram)-Myanmar border region early Sunday morning.

The tremor, occurred at 0143 IST, the epicentre of which was at a latitude of 23.4 degree North and longitude of 93.9 degree East, the Met Office said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualty.
