A moderate earthquake shook Turkey's Aegean port city of Izmir on Monday, a seismology centre said. There were no reports of any damage or injuries.

The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2, was centred in the Aegean sea, just off the town of Seferihisar, some 60 kilometers from Izmir, the Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory said. It struck at 11.07 am.
