Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he doesn’t say a word on the rising prices of pulses in the country, but leaders from his BJP talk about Pakistan during the ongoing assembly elections in Bihar instead.
“People said when Modi comes to power prices will come down, but pulses now cost Rs 2,000 under his regime,” Gandhi said while addressing an election rally in Araria.
“Why doesn’t the PM talk about ‘achhe din’ when that was all he harped about a year ago?” he asked.
He upped the ante ahead of the fifth and the last phase of Bihar assembly elections by taking on Bharatiya Janata Dal’s president Amit Shah over his comment that if BJP loses in Bihar, people in Pakistan will burst firecrackers.
The Congress vice-president also raked up Union minister of state for external affairs General (retd) VK Singh remarks who had said that the government cannot be blamed if somebody throws a stone at a dog. Singh was referring to the two Dalit children in Faridabad who were burnt allegedly alive by upper caste men.
“If a person like Gen VK Singh had been there in Congress, he would be removed in 15 seconds,” Gandhi retorted.

{{/usCountry}}Gandhi said the Prime Minister keeps promising jobs to the youth but when people from Bihar migrate to cities like Mumbai, they are beaten up by the BJP and its allies like the Shiv Sena.
“It is only the friends of Modi who are getting richer. The common man will not get those promised jobs,” he said.
Leaders from BJP-led NDA and the grand alliance of Congress, Janata Dal(United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal have indulged in mudslinging and attacked each other throughout the campaign for the bitterly contested Bihar polls which.
