BPPF-H leader Hagrama Mohilary, the leader of erstwhile militant outfit BLT which was disbanded after the signing of the Bodo Accord and formation of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), urged the former rivals to help BPPF-H candidates in the polls and in the development of BTC areas.

He said the NDFB has assured of cooperation and of working for BPPF-H candidates.

Meanwhile, former BLT cadres have urged the Chief Election Commissioner to issue instructions to the concerned authorities against reopening of pending warrants against them.

The execution of the warrants will create serious law and order situation in the state and will harm the peace process in the BTC areas, Mohilary said.

During the formation of the BTC it had been categorically agreed by both the Centre and the state government that all pending cases relating to the Bodoland movement would be withdrawn, he added.
