Bangladesh scored 265 for the loss of seven wickets off 50 overs Tuesday with most runs coming from the bat of Mohammad Ashraful, who scored 125 off 134 balls including 18 fours.

Ashraful also put on 107 runs for the fourth wicket with Foisal Hossein who missed his half century by one run.

The home team in reply made a promising start but lost wickets at regular intervals and collapsed to 136 for 9 against some accurate bowling from Khaled Mahamood and Mushfiqur Rahaman. Bangladesh, which has never won an Asia cup encounter, will play Hong Kong in the tournament's opening match on July 16. It will also face Pakistan in the first round. Other countries taking part are India, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates.
