Mortar shell recovered near Indo-Pak border
One person, working in the fields, found some shell buried in his field and informed the BSF officials.

A live mortar shell was recovered by security personnel near the Indo-Pak border in Kathua district on Thursday, officials said.
The 81-mm mortar shell, used during 'Operation Parakram' in 2001, was recovered from a field in Regal area of Hiranagar, they said.
One Ramesh, who was working in the fields found some shell buried in his field and informed BSF officials. The BSF officials, in turn brought the matter to the notice of the Army engineers.
The personnel later dug out the shell and defused it.
