Three mortal shells, fired from across the border, exploded some 200-mt away from the Cobra Forward Defence Location along the Line of Control in Poonch sector this evening, official sources said.

A senior army officer told PTI three power explosions were heard several metres away from the post.

"We cannot say whether it is a ceasefire violation or militant-triggered blasts," the officer of the 16 Corps said.

The Army was investigating, he said adding there were no casualties or damage on the Indian side.
