A mother and son who arrived in Chennai from Toronto were quarantined with suspected swine flu symptoms on Thursday.

According to airport officials, the 40 year-old woman and her 14-year-old son, who arrived this morning from the Canadian capital, were found carrying symptoms of H1N1 virus.
They were quarantined at the Communicable Diseases Hospital (CDH) at Tondiarpet near Chennai, officials added.
So far, more than 250 persons with suspected swine flu symptoms in the state have been referred to various government hospitals in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore.
Fifty two cases have tested positive for the flu, even as a four-and-half-year-old boy, also suffering from multiple-organ failure, became the first victim of the virus in the state on Monday.
