Sheela Devi (36) and her 12-year-old son Sunny Kumar lost their lives after lightning struck them at Dali village in Sunderbani belt of the district yesterday, police said.

The lightning hit them when Sheela was escorting her son to a nearby school.

They were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared them as brought dead, the police said.
