This chain of restaurants, inspired by the original Moti Mahal at Daryaganj, has been faithful to the hospitable tradition of Kundan Lal Gujral. The DLF City Centre outlet, though, has ventured into new territory with tandoori trout, pomfret and lobster, as well as value-for-money makhni meals and platters. At GK-I, the service is sloppy and the décor frozen in the ’60s, yet loyalists go there for the Chicken Pakoras, Mutton Barra, Butter Chicken and Dal Moti Mahal. The accent at all the outlets is strictly on food. No innovative flourishes, but consistent quality.
