MP: Cong to move higher court over Shah’s acquittal, says Diggy

All India Congress Committee general secretary Digvijaya Singh said on Wednesday that his party would move higher courts against a CBI court order discharging BJP president Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijaya Singh said on Wednesday that his party would move higher courts against a CBI court order discharging BJP president Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.

Addressing a press conference at circuit house here, the former chief minister alleged that Soharabuddin had close ties with Shah and he has definite information about it. Singh said he could give a proof to substantiate his point, if required.

Singh admitted that Modi magic still persists in the country but people have started wondering whether these were the ‘achhe din’ that he had promised them. He charged that Modi government was working to benefit handful of industrial houses and common man was nowhere in its agenda. Singh said his party would not allow the land acquisition ordinance to take form of an Act. “Congress would insist that it is sent to standing committee of the Parliament and if the government does not agree, we won’t allow passage of the Bill in Rajya Sabha.”
