A helicopter flying over Khajuraho's famous western group of temples on Tuesday afternoon raised security concerns as the area comes under no-flying zone.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official in Khajuraho has complained to the higher authorities in this regard. However, the police investigation revealed the helicopter belonged to the state government.

Sub-divisional officer of police Mubarak Ali said, "We came to know that the helicopter belonged to MP government and permission was given by SDM. Inquiry is going on."
However, SDM (Khajuraho) Neeta Rathore said she had given permission for aerial photography of the temple for a government calendar but no permission had been given to fly over no-fly zone.
