MP TEAM lifted the overall team championship of kho-kho and throwball event played in the 51st School National Sports Meet that concluded in the City today.

MP TEAM lifted the overall team championship of kho-kho and throwball event played in the 51st School National Sports Meet that concluded in the City today.

In the final match of the boys’ kho-kho event, Madhya Pradesh defeated Karnataka 9-5. For the third and fourth place contest, Punjab gave a tough fight to Maharashtra but failed to save the match.

The strong Maharashtra managed to get the third position after defeating the opponent 14-11. MP throwball girls’ team, once again proved that they are best in the respective game. Playing against the traditional rival Delhi, the host team lifted the trophy after registering win in straight sets 2-0.

However, the girls’ cricket team of MP failed to repeat their performance against J&K in the final match. Chief guest of the closing ceremony, Minister of State for School Education, Paras Jain distributed prizes to the winners of different categories organised in the meet.

Jain, on the occasion, felicitated president School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Satpal. Director Directorate Public Instructions (DPI) AK Mishra, DEO OP Sharma, Assistant Director BB Saxena and others were present.
