MP: Nurses accuse doctor of sexual harassment

Staff nurses working at the district hospital filed a complaint of sexual harassment and misbehaviour against an anaesthetist posted there. The complaint, signed by 17 staff nurses, against the anaesthetist had been given to the civil surgeon.

Civil surgeon Shrikant Singh Sengar has constituted a three-member team of female doctors — Dr Kamlesh Gaud, Dr Shailja Mahajan and Dr Manjusha Parate — to enquire into the matter.

Sengar said the complaint of staff nurses had been received. Action would be taken after the statements of staff nurses are recorded and the three-member committee completes its inquiry, said the civil surgeon.
