Buoyed by the immense success of its 'broad gauge railway restaurant project' in Bhopal where bogies have been converted into a restaurant, the state government now plans to start similar restaurants in Indore and Jabalpur.

The project, the first of its kind in the world, illustrates how best train bogies can be redone; in this case transformed into stationary restaurant providing food buffs and tourists alike a unique dining experience.

"Such has been the success of the restaurant, that we have now decided to come up with two similar restaurants in Indore and in Jabalpur," General Manager of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Om Vijay Choudhury told PTI.

The Corporation has already acquired the bogies from Railways and the projects are well underway, he said.
