Mukherjee dismisses reports on being Presidential candidate

External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee dismisses all such reports saying these were 'speculative in nature.'

In the wake of reports that he was emerging as the Presidential nominee, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday dismissed all such reports saying these were "speculative in nature."

"I would like to state that I am a Congressman. My role in the party and in the Government is decided by the Congress leadership," he said in a statement in New Delhi.
