Mulayam hospitalised, undergoes swine flu test

Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon late on Friday night after he complained of chest pain.

Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon late on Friday night after he complained of chest pain.

Sources at Medanta-The Medicity, where he was brought around 1.30am, saidhe is being treated for chest infection and fever, and is suspected of having swine flu.

Singh's swab samples have been taken for swine flu test and the reports will be available by Saturday evening. Meanwhile, he is being given Tamiflu. The SP chieh has been kept in the isolation ward in the ICU.

Medical superintendent of Medanta-The Medicity said, "He has been admitted and is responding to the treatment."
