Muslim clerics blame Congress

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on Friday laid the blame for the delay in the Babri Masjid verdict at the Congress’ door. “Let’s see when the verdict is delivered,” said Board General Secretary Maulana Nizamuddin. “It is disappointing,” the Maulana told HT on the phone from Patna.

The SC will hear the matter again on September 28. Senior executive panel member Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahli said, “There is general feeling among the board members that the Congress has orchestrated it.”
