Chief Election Commissioner T Krishnamurthy will review the Lok Sabha poll preparedness in Chhattisgarh on Friday with the top officials and leaders of political parties.

After removing the district collector of Raipur Vivek Dewangan and the collector and SP of Mahasamund respectively last week, this would be the Chief Election Commissioner's first visit to the state to review the preparedness for the Lok Sabha polls and two state assembly by-elections to be held on April 20.
Krishnamurthy would be meeting representatives of political parties first and then review the poll preparation with all the district collectors, SPs and inspectors general of police, election office sources said.
He will discuss the matter, including the Naxalite situation, with the chief secretary, director general of police and the additional chief secretary-home, the sources added.
