According to the district police, a gang of 25-30 armed naxalites stormed at Lekurbandi village, bordering Chhattisgarh, early this morning and dragged Hariram Jairam Madavi (30) and Maharsingh Rame Naroti (40) out from their respective houses on the village road and shot them dead. They were killed right in front of their wives and relatives. The incident has shocked the villagers.

It was said that the victims, Hariram and Maharsingh used to help former naxalites, who surrendered before the police recently to lead a normal life.

In another incident, the left-wing extremists killed one Magru Dhoke Parma (24) of Dabur village near Bhamragarh branding him as a police informer. After killing him, the naxalites said, "let's expose informers and teach them a fitting lesson."

No arrests were made so far in both the incidents.
