"NC-led government is creating hurdles into the investigation of the mysterious death of party worker Sayeed Yusuf Shah. We are surprised as nothing has been done so far in this high-profile case," PDP spokesman Sardar Rangil Singh told mediapersons here.

The J-K government was forced to set up a one-member inquiry commission following the Opposition's pressure on the issue, he said.

Nothing has been done so far, the PDP spokesman alleged, and demanded that the case be handed to an independent probe agency for an impartial probe.

Rangil also criticised the ruling NC-Congress regime for not taking any concrete decision on the functioning of the State Accountability Commission for the last three years.

"Without equipping SAC with investigating agency, it is not possible to conduct impartial inquiry into the corruption complaints lodged with the Commission," he said.
