NDA on Wednesday demanded tabling of reports of the Phukan Commission and the CVC on arms procurement during the Kargil conflict and said it would not disrupt Parliament proceedings on the issue.

"We have written to presiding officers of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. However, we want the Phukan Commission report as also the CVC report to be tabled before any discussion on the issue in Parliament," BJP spokesman VK Malhotra said after a meeting of NDA leaders chaired by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha LK Advani.
To a question whether the NDA would disrupt the proceedings in Parliament over the issue, he said, "We are not going to do it".
The 30-minute meeting was attended by NDA Convenor George Fernandes and other leaders of the opposition alliance.
He said Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee too had been amenable to the NDA's suggestion in this regard.
Fernandes, meanwhile, replying to a query, said "We would allow Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee to make statements in the House."
TDP leader K Yerrannaidu, Trinamool Congress leader Dinesh Trivedi, BJP leaders Jaswant Singh, Sushma Swaraj and SS Ahluwalia were also present at the meeting.
