Naik also said that commanders should keep strict vigil and maintain operational preparedness of the highest order at all times.

He was speaking at the end of two-day annual Southern Air Command commanders Conference, which deliberated on issues such as security threats, defence preparedness and coastline security.

Air Marshal Sumit Mukerji, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Air Command, also addressed the commanders of various units on the occasion.
