Pakistan batting great Javed Miandad is a happy man on Wednesdayand the reason is not hard to guess. His nephew Faisal Iqbal has finally proved himself in the international arena and the legendary uncle, can't stop smiling after Iqbal's maiden Test hundred.

"I am very happy for Faisal because he has shown a lot of patience, determination and faith to keep on playing cricket and performing in the last three years despite being out of the team," Miandad told reporters here.

"I always knew he had the talent and urge to become a Test player and I did my best to help him out. But the rest is his own hardwork and the advice he got from other seniors. He faced difficult times and I know about them but he stood firm and was determined to make a comeback," the proud uncle added.

Miandad believes that Iqbal now has to work harder to continue the good show and for this he must learn from seniors in the team.

"I am very happy for him but he has to continue making his way to the top on the dint of his own performances and must respect and regard his seniors," Miandad said.

"The secret to success is to fight against the odds and never give up hope and Faisal has shown these very qualities," he added.
