Yadav said since he had an agricultural background, he understood the problems of farmers well.

Addressing a Press conference, he made it clear that subordinate officials would have to meet the expectations of the people.

He asserted that corruption would be dealt with an iron hand. He announced officials would remain present at their offices to hear grievances of the people.

Yadav said he was committed to implementation of government policies to provide relief to people. He also said he would himself conduct spot verification of various government schemes.

To a question, he said he would not remain confined to his office and would pay regular visits to all districts of the division. He further said he would be available in Basti division for two days in a week. Yadav said suspended schemes of Gorakhpur Development Authority would be reviewed and development projects would be completed within the stipulated time frame. Planned development of the city, sanitation and construction of roads would be among his priorities, he added.
