He said the media’s reach was expanding and more technology was being employed. Vidyarthi distributed prizes to achievers in the presence of noted artiste Dr Ajay Jaitley and a large number of students.
ABVP rally: The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists will take out a bicycle rally in support of the national song here on Tuesday. This was decided in a meeting here on Monday.
ABVP city secretary Shivendra Mishra criticised the move against national song Vande Mataram by some citizens of the country.
He said that all the citizens should respect the nation and it was surprising that some persons had refused to recite the national song.
Mishra said that a public awareness drive would be launched. He said a bicycle Vande Mataram rally would be taken out from the University Road Crossing to Subhash Square via Chandrashekhar Azad Park. The activists would render the national song.
ISDC MEETING: Iswar Saran Degree College (ISDC) students’ union president Vishal Shukla continued his relay fast in support of students’ demands on the 36th day here on Monday. The students have demanded a CBI inquiry into irregularities at the college. Later, a meeting was held to condole the death of Shehnai player Ustad Bismillah Khan at the ISDC students’ union hall under the presidentship of student leader Durgesh Shukla.
The student observed two- minute silence to pay homage to Ustaad Bismilla Khan.
Turning to the issues of students, Shukla said that the students had raised their voice against irregularities in the college and would continue their protest against the college management.
