Many shortcomings were also reported by the flying squads. While sources said plan chalked out to conduct free and fair board examination, was either made in hurry or casually.

Teachers deployed as centre manager have failed to report for duties at many places. Besides, the removal of few centre head without any valid reason is the few reasons, which suggest that planning made by district inspector of school and its staff to check the unfair means in examination have made little effect than expected earlier.

About 50 per cent centres have raised demand for invigilators. Many centres still wait for mangers’ details for examination duties and many teachers and other staff’s details for flying squad duty. The DIOS SP Diwedi said that many centres have been identified and a new strategy was being chalked out to check use of unfair means.

Diwedi said extra staff would be deployed to check use of unfair means at some centers.

However, when asked that why centre manager of Prakash Vidhya Mandir, Govind Nagar was removed, he said that this decision was taken to have good hands for the new strategy. Whereas, sources said that teachers belongs to Government Inter College was called back on the recommendation of GIC principal.

Another women teacher Savitiri Dixit was removed by the DIOS as centre head on February 7,2006. In a letter, Dixit had alleged that she was removed under pressure from the college authorities. She further stated that teachers of the school were involved in using unfair means and one of the teachers was caught by her. However, she did not get support from principal of school, whereas, she was removed from the job, Dixit alleged.

Talking to newsmen, DIOS said that since chances of conflict between other staff and Dixit were persisting, thus her removal was necessary.

A senior teachers’ leader alleged that many centres were given centre manager according to their choice to avoid any hindrance in their motive to felicitate use of unfair means.
