Her condition continues to be serious. It is not clear what prompted her to attempt suicide. Child receives burns: In another incident, a ten-year-old girl sustained burns when a coffee vending machine reportedly burst in Jehangirabad.

The girl was attending a marriage party at Raunaq Shadi Hall on Sunday night when the incident occurred. The hot water hit the girl’s face. She was rushed to Hamidia Hospital. The details were awaited till the filing of this report. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case of dowry harassment on the complaint of a woman.

The complainant, Nirmala, a resident of Samardha near Misrod, was married off to Ravi Vishwakarma, a resident of Jabalpur a couple of years back but ever since marriage she was allegedly subjected to harassment.

The in-laws were forcing her to bring Rs 3 lakh. The Misrod police have registered a case against her in-laws including husband Ravi.
