Nip in air as skies clear

THE TEMPERATURE across the State have started dropping with the skies clearing out and the wind pattern changing to northerly. On late Sunday night, the temperatures dropped considerably across the State, with a marked nip in the air as the winter sets in.

THE TEMPERATURE across the State have started dropping with the skies clearing out and the wind pattern changing to northerly. On late Sunday night, the temperatures dropped considerably across the State, with a marked nip in the air as the winter sets in.

The director of the Regional Meteorological Centre Dr D P Dubey said the temperatures would drop further. He said that with the weather system moving over, the skies have cleared out totally and the wind pattern has changed to northerly pulling in cold vibes from northern India.

The night temperatures are dropping and soon a drop in the day temperatures would also be noticed, he said. During the last few days, the minimum temperature in the city hovered around 18 degrees Celsius mark, but late on Sunday night it fell by two degrees to 16 degrees Celsius.

In other parts of the State, the minimum temperatures dropped and were recorded at 13.5 degrees in Indore (minimum in state), 15.5 degrees in Gwalior and 17.4 degrees in Jabalpur.
