An insurgent of outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) was nabbed and four insurgents of two banned outfits surrendered to Assam Rifles in separate incidents in West Tripura district.

Sources in Assam Rifles said, an insurgent of NLFT was apprehended from Sangtangbari, a remote tribal hamlet during a search operation by a contingent of the paramilitary force on Tuesday.
Two NLFT insurgents and two insurgents of banned All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) have surrendered to Assam Rifles on the same day at Mungiabari in the district.
The insurgents surrendered unconditionally and did not deposit any arm or ammunition.
