The Punjab & Haryana High Court on Tuesday dismissed regular bail pleas of Citibank fraud prime accused Shivraj Puri and his father and co-accused Raghuraj Puri.
The court also turned down the anticipatory bail petition of Shivraj's mother Diksha Puri. The court has directed her to appear before the lower court in Gurgaon on Wednesday when she could be arrested.
However, the HC granted bail to the one of the co-accused Rajinder Chang, a friend of Raghuraj, as the former's mother was ill and there was none to take care of her.
Shivraj and Raghuraj are already in jail. The scam was unearthed in December last year by the police that found that Puri along with his associates in Hero Corporate Services had defrauded HNIs and invested the money in markets.
According to Citibank lawyer Harish Malhotra, the court dismissed the bail plea of the accused. Malhotra said Diksha Puri has been evading arrest.
