Neither Haryana Urban Development Authority nor any other agency has come to the rescue despite repeated efforts by the residents of the locality.

Shammi Chopra, a resident, said even the newly-formed MCG was of no help.

“The well-educated and widely travelled people visiting eating joints and the offices of well-known companies continue to suffer the stink. Moreover, the filthy scene creates a poor impression of the place amongst first-time visitors,” said
Chopra.

As in many other places in the city, sewerage lines in Sector 45 are not connected to the master sewerage line, which is still incomplete.

As for Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon, the civic body is going slow on the takeover of sewage and storm water drainage systems. It has not taken over either system as these are maintained by the Public Health Department in Old Gurgaon, and by HUDA in its own sectors as well as in private colonies, such as DLF City.
