No gun licences in Faridabad

The Faridabad police has gone slow in issuing fresh weapon licenses in wake of the Commonwealth Games to be held in October.

The Faridabad police has gone slow in issuing fresh weapon licenses in wake of the Commonwealth Games to be held in October.

“As per my information, the issuing of fresh weapon licenses has been put on hold in Faridabad in view of the upcoming Games”, DCP Central Shashank Anand said. Commissioner of Police, P.K. Aggarwal said, “You can’t say, licences will not be issued. If our verification confirms the applicant has a genuine threat during the period, the case will be considered.”
