The chief judicial magistrate's court in Patna ordered the police to immediately shift Chunnu Thakur back to the Hajipur jail as they had not produced any evidence to substantiate his involvement in the kidnapping of the schoolboy.

The court gave time to the police to produce evidence against Thakur.

Patna Police had taken Chunnu Thakur from Hajipur jail in Vaishali district on Monday to question him in the case and brought him to the state capital, strongly suspecting his involvement in the abduction.

They produced him in the court on Tuesday, seeking police remand for three days.

Last week, police had arrested Thakur's wife, mother, sister and close aide Pappu Thakur in connection with the kidnapping.

Kislay Kaushal, a Delhi Public School student in Patna, had been kidnapped on January 19.
