There is no such proposal on the table, senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh said when asked if party president Mehbooba Mufti, who won from Anantnag parliamentary constituency, would join the Congress-led government.

Beigh said it was irrelevant whether PDP would be part of the government or not as it has given its support to the national party, which is its alliance partner in the state.

Mehbooba has also made a public statement in this regard that she does not want to leave the state, Beigh added.

On issue of whether Mehbooba violated the election norms by entering a polling booth, Beigh said Election Commission had given permission to observers of both PDP and National Conference, and other parties as well, to enter the polling stations.
