The political crisis in Karnataka did not figure in the Union Cabinet meeting on Thursday nor has any report come from the Governor.

"Nothing has been discussed nor has any report come (from the State Governor)," Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Damunsi said when asked whether the issue figured in the meeting.

He said if the situation so warranted, Home Minister Shivraj Patil would brief the Government.
