“The reason behind development of South India was better coordination between public and state governments.”, said Chaturvedi while inaugurating the Deluxe Private ward at Shri Ram Laxmi Narayan Marvari Hospital in Varanasi on Wednesday evening.

He said government should think seriously about the development of North India, specially in the health sector. “The population of our country is too much as when we see through statistical data of the world, one can find that our country is in grip of a number of diseases”, he said.

Elaborating the situation in South Indian states, Chaturvedi said they were promoting health tourism there. “North Indian states should also create an environment to promote such type of activities”, he said.

About Marvari Hospital, he said this hospital, which runs with the help of donors, would have to maintain its nursing feeling to society.

Earlier, vice-president of Marvari Hospital Trust, Radheshyam Khemka welcomed the governor. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Sitaram Ji Kaviraj, Gaurishankar Nevar, Shri Prakash Goel, Dr Sidha Gopal and Dinanath Jhunjhunwala.
