Prabhjinder Singh alias Dimpy was a resident of Chand Bhan village in Kotkapura and had been recently out of jail after being granted bail, they said.

He was involved in many cases of extortion in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and was booked for killing a wine contractor in Bathinda, they said.
