CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS (CA) have now greater job avenues in various fields in public and private sector, said noted chartered accountant VK Jindal.

He was delivering the inaugural address at the 15-day workshop on ‘General Management and Communication Skills’ at Institute of Technology in Banaras Hindu University here on Tuesday. Varanasi branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in collaboration with BHU-IT has organised this workshop for fresh qualified CAs and CA (final) students.
VK Jindal discussed the changing role of CAs and said that now there were greater job avenues for CAs. “Representation before taxation authorities, company law matter, financing, date recovery consultancy, government accounting, budget consultancy, service tax and excise consultancy, disinvestment consultancy are among other new job avenues for CAs,” he added.
He said these were the roles which were being played by CAs now and were different from their typical role of audit and certification only.
Vice-President of Varanasi branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Kamlesh Agrawal, presided over the function.
