Now, time-frame to redress grievances

THE DISTRICT administration has geared up to address the public complaints within a stipulated time-frame even as the authorities detected irregularities in distribution of food grains. According to official reports, Varanasi Chief Revenue Officer Jag Prasad, has directed the officials concerned to speed up the disposal of public complaints within the fixed time limit. The chief revenue officer was hearing the pubic complaints at the headquarters of Tehsil (Sadar) on the occasion of Janta Diwas on Wednesday.

According to official reports, Varanasi Chief Revenue Officer Jag Prasad, has directed the officials concerned to speed up the disposal of public complaints within the fixed time limit.

The chief revenue officer was hearing the pubic complaints at the headquarters of Tehsil (Sadar) on the occasion of Janta Diwas on Wednesday.

He took serious note on gross irregularities in the distribution of food grains and on the allotment of 20 government ration shops to Ram Jee Verma and their relatives in Jaitpura, Kotwali and Collectorate sectors.

Jag Prasad directed the district supply officer to inquire into the matter and take strict action against Verma.

Acting on the complaints of irregularities in the mid-day-meal scheme at Jagdishpur gram sabha, under Cholapur development block and Parsadpur gram sabha under Badagaon development block, the chief revenue officer directed the block development officers of respective blocks to inquire into matter and ensure quick action.

Prominent among others who participated in the Janta Diwas included, SDM Nagendra Singh, district development officer Rajeev Dankata, district inspector of school Onkar Nath Shukla and GM of District Industry Centre Ramjee Singh.
