Barack Obama's election as the president of the United States was an "uplifting moment", his predecessor George W Bush said in Delhi on Saturday.
Obama's Republican rival, Bush said, " it was an uplifting moment for our democracy... not my first choice, but I wish him every success", Bush said provoking laughter in the HT Leadership Summit in Delhi.
