FOR MR Mehra, Sunday was the time for make-over. A reputed doctor, it was for the first time he was seen sporting a flashy T-shirt.
And he didn't mind it either for it was dady's day out for the father of Akriti, a student of class 12.
"He wears such dull colours and I wanted a make-over for him since long.
There would have been no better occasion than the Father's day to do so, said Akriti chuckling. Like Akriti, many others tried their best to bring in a smile on their beloved father's face. While some went for precious gifts others went on to thank 'Dad' in their style."A hug is enough for satisfying dad," Ravi asserts.
"That's the reason why I am not buying anything for him on the Father's Day.
Otherwise also, what's the big fun of giving dad a gift after borrowing money from him. I am sure he wouldn't appreciate it."
For him, dad is more of an ATM and he proudly admits the fact. "Cards are not required. A picture of innocence is enough for you to withdraw solid cash, anytime, anywhere," he says, without making any attempt to conceal his mischievous smile.
"I hugged my father in the morning as a gesture of him being my true friend for all those years. He is amazing and I want to be like him when I grow up," said Revant, thirteen year old son of Dr Sunil Gupta.
Another young lass Priyanka offered a plate of those home-made cookies to his Dad, who is known to have a sweet tooth.
For a serious lad, Abhishek, a real tribute to Dad would be to realise his father's dream. "He wants to see me settle down and I am planning to shape my career as such that I could give him all the comforts of life. As my first step in this regard, I gave an interview in a reputed company on Father's Day. I will not stop now and I will prove to be a worthy son," he said. `
