"While victory of the NC-Congress coalition candidates from Jammu and Kashmir would pave way for Rahul Gandhi to be the Prime Minister of India, every vote cast in favour of the PDP will automatically amount to helping Narendra Modi to be in power at New Delhi," he said.

Addressing election rallies in Tangdhar and Gurez, Omar said an elaborate conspiracy has been hatched by the BJP and PDP to divide the voters in the state on one or the other pretext for their vested interests and hunger for personal power.

He cautioned the people against this conspiracy and told them to exhibit their unity and faith in the NC-Congress alliance stating that the alliance was committed to the inclusive and equitable development of the state and has been working with dedication to usher the state into an era of reconciliation, peace and prosperity.

Omar appealed to the NC-Congress workers to exhibit their unity at all levels from the grassroots and upwards to ensure overwhelming support to the NC-Congress candidate in Baramulla-Kupwara parliamentary constituency going to polls on May 7.
