Police today arrested two alleged narcotic smugglers and recovered one kg of heroin, worth Rs one crore in the international market, in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Acting on a tip off, a police team led by Additional SP Doda, Arif Rishu intercepted Mohammad Mushtaq and Aijaz Ahmed after a chase when they tried to escape at a check point in Seri-Bhaderwah area of the district, police officials said.

During a search, police recovered one kg of heroin estimated to be worth Rs one crore in international market, they said adding a case was registered against the duo.
