Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday approved appointment of a one-man judicial commission to probe the killing of over 120 civilians during unrest in the Valley in 2010.

"Justice (retd) M L Koul will head the one-man commission," an official spokesman said.

He said the decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here.
More than 120 persons were killed in action by security forces during the agitation in Kashmir Valley in 2010.

The government had appointed a commission in 2010 to probe the 17 killings that had taken place till July that year.n
