The Meerut police on Thursday produced the main accused Ravindra Pradhan in the court for extension of his remand. According to information while the police mounted pressure for the arrest of fourth accused Harendra Pradhan of village Budhpur (Meerut), he walked to police station for surrender.

Earlier Ravidra Pradhan and Trilok Pradhan had appeared at the offices of news channels in Noida and Delhi respectively from where the police had arrested them. Third accused Yogesh is in Tihar jail. Harendra Pradhan denied knowledge of any information in the case.

Harendra told the police that he knew Ravindra because he (Ravindra) was son-in-law of his village Budhpur. He said neither he was involved in the murder nor knew any thing about blackmailing by Kavita Chaudhury.

While the police have so far not been able to fish out her body from the canal, a team of police was today sent to Tihar jail to take Yogesh on remand. Raids were also being conducted to nab other suspects in the case.
