Bangladesh's main Opposition leader Sheikh Hasina Wajed turned 60 on Thursday.
HT ImageThe elder daughter of Bangladesh's founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina was the Prime Minister of the country between 1996 and 2001.
At present, she is the chief of the Opposition Awami League party, which is leading an agitation demanding electoral reforms.
The party said no birthday cake would be cut on the occasion due to the holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
