The Indo-Czech pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Radek Stepanek on Monday defeated seventh seeds Israeli duo of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram to reach the men's doubles quarterfinals of the Australian Open here.
In a third round battle, Bhupathi and Stepanek beat Erlich and Ram 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3.
They will meet second seeds Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Max Mirnyi of Belarus in the quarters.
In the boys' singles, India's Rupesh Roy lost to Kevin Botti of France 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the first round.
